A group of Wake Foresters gathered over lunch in Winston Salem, NC on May 3, 2018 to discuss Career Development.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

• During our time together, we touched on many different themes of career development, including the stages of serving in a position, the learning and development that takes place during that time (whether recognized or not) and the process of moving on to something new. “Do the right thing, be brave, face challenges.”

Some important themes from our conversation:

• Work/life balance, being good to one another and to yourself, customer service and the community that comes from a work experience quickly rose to the top.
• We also discussed the importance of good and transparent leaders, and how much we as value those who are honest about challenges and provide guidance.
