Leadership & Character | Atlanta, GA
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Atlanta, GA on May 3, 2018 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- We shared stories of athletes, children, leaders, and colleagues. Words repeated throughout the evening included empathy, respect, honesty, accountability, ethics, and integrity.
- We shared stories of character being revealed in the face of conflict and “when the tides of temptation come rolling in.” We asked ourselves, would we be proud of our actions were they to become a newspaper headline?
When asked what we want Wake Forest students to hear from our conversation:
- Although great academics, GPA, job offers and experiences are important, it is who you become and the character you develop that matters most.
