Leadership & Character | Whitsett, NC

A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Whitsett, NC on July 26, 2018 to discuss Leadership & Character.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

People who influenced us by their leadership and character did not have the same role in our lives but they did provide common themes that made an impact on us. We use those influences as stepping stones that help us build our own character.

• The people we discussed were family, colleagues, teachers and acquaintances.
• There were common themes in all of our examples: trust, commitment, community, family, philanthropy, teaching.
• Two of our examples were children, by teaching their values and sense of right and wrong, they had a profound influence us.
• After hearing the stories of each person, we all were able to recall and discuss people who provided similar influences in our own lives.
