Leadership & Character | Charlotte, NC

A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Charlotte, NC on August 28, 2018 to discuss Leadership & Character.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

• Discussion on raising children with virtue
• How Pro Humanitate has evolved over the years
• How our world is seemingly more influenced by social media than by institutions like colleges, schools, churches, and government
• We shared many examples of character in action. A few were:
  • how a mentor at work taught future generations to take responsibility for mistakes or errors
  • how a homeless person on the streets of Charlotte touched thousands of lives on his journey
  • high school students who stood up and showed leadership qualities at a funeral of a friend
  • The high level of character John McCain showed in his life
  • The 9-11 rescue workers and their incredible service
