Leadership & Character | Murfreesboro, TN
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Murfreesboro, TN on September 24, 2018 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- During our discussion, we saw a common thread of humility, strong values, internal character and an ability to put other people’s needs first.
- Words such as honesty, respect, sincerity and genuineness were all spoken. Character takes on many forms, but its essence seems to also resonate in the person who has great self-awareness.
- All appeared to concur that we need to show greater degrees of empathy and help and listen to our neighbors. Consequently, it is important for us to concentrate more on our own self-awareness. It is also incumbent for us to display our good character and set the right example.
- We need to make a more concerted effort to sit down and speak more often with others.
