Leadership & Character | Nashville, NC
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Nashville, NC on September 11, 2018 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- We spoke at length about the need and ability for all to listen, understand and empathize with those we interact with on a daily basis. We also discussed whether or not one is born with character or if it is a trait one can develop over time; the nature versus nurture argument.
- One’s display of character, both internally and externally, can have a ripple effect across all parts of our lives. We follow those who are willing to “get their hands dirty” and stand up for what one believes is right.
- There exists a rare breed of character and leadership that only a few in our lives have and display. Character is developed over time and involves embracing others and inspiring others to lead.
- We need to continue to learn to listen to one another and allow others to express themselves.
