The College Board of Visitors gathered over lunch on October 4, 2018 to discuss Wake Forest College.

When discussing the things we should never give up as a university, there were a few highlights and common themes we shared.

• In our conversations, Resiliency came across as well as commitment and obligation. We talked about not giving up the residential college environment or the liberal arts education.
• We talked about the value of community, our college size, and its welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintaining a pursuit of academic excellence; attracting and retaining great professors.
• We spoke at length about academic reputation and innovative ways of raising standards.
