Tradition | Edmond, OK
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Edmond, OK on December 2, 2018 to discuss Tradition.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- The overlying theme was that tradition and memory are important. Yet building new traditions in our mobile society is vital to creating a more diverse and peaceful world.
- Traditions move from family to friends gathering as we move away from home.
- We talked about a tradition of asking friends not to bring host/hostess gifts to parties but rather have a donation bowl for a charity.
- Sharing ethnic traditions with the younger generations builds family continuity.
