A group of students gathered over dinner at President Hatch’s home on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, to discuss Mentorship.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

During our time together, we shared anecdotes about mentorship. Many stories centered around some of the qualities good mentors exhibit: honesty, trustworthiness, and a willingness to treat the mentee as an equal and friend. Several discussants shared how their mentors had inspired them to one day be in a position to one day help mentor others. As our conversation drew to a close, I felt that we experienced an especially powerful moment when much of the table resolved to thank their mentor.
