Leadership & Character | Fort Lauderdale, FL
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Fort Lauderdale, FL on February 27, 2019 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- We all learned from one another about how each of us has witnessed character first hand in their life. Throughout our conversation, specific attributes of character and leadership were shared which resonated with all.
- Our group was touched by the various stories of how someone put others in front of themselves, their position and even their own religion. There was a story shared about teaching the importance of winning, but not at the cost of others.
- Finally, we were able to enjoy the beginning of an honest discussion around the realities of how the internet, history and emerging communities affect each of us today. All of us will remember that in today’s world, it is not only important to be smart, it is equally important to be kind, either online or in-person.
