A group of Undergraduate Students, Faculty, and Staff gathered over dinner in Luter Hall on Thursday, February 28, 2019, to discuss Leading a Life that Matters.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

Over the course of our discussion, we commented on the importance of looking both outward and inward when reflecting on the values and actions that we think are vital to living a life of meaning. We spoke about how our professional, vocational and academic aspirations inform our understandings of a meaningful life and about how living a life that matters is just as much about the other as it is about the self. We reflected on those memories, places, and people who anchor us to our purpose in life and considered how we can return to that purpose when we stray from it. In doing so, we learned to appreciate life’s ebbs and life’s tides — to embrace both the triumphs and the tribulations that are a natural part of living a life that matters.
