Pro Humanitate | Belmont, NC
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Belmont, NC on February 25, 2019 to discuss Pro Humanitate.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- An overarching theme that revealed itself in our conversation was the empathy to identify with the needs of others regardless of their age, their economic status, their race or particular life experiences that may have befallen them.
- We are inspired by those around us who respond to those needs individually or with a community of others. Several people shared about programs like Campus Kitchens and Spark.
- We also heard stories of Wake Forest Professors who inspired us to live lives that matter.
- We talked a bit about the roles government, private companies and entrepreneurs may play in stimulating communities, providing infrastructure and or expanding the economic opportunities for citizens in the community.
