A group of Wake Forest alumni gathered over dinner in Winston-Salem, NC on March 29, 2019 to discuss Community.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

• Communities take various shapes throughout our lives, and those experiences with the strongest sense of connection speak deeply to our shared values and the exchange of giving wisdom and receiving fulfillment.
• Especially resonant for us were the ideas of mentoring, stewardship, and encouraging potential.
• In the tech driven world in which we live, comparison and disengagement are easy, but dangerous; and more importantly, the effort of connecting is worth it!
• We discovered the beauty of inter-generational connection.
• The entry into deep community often begins by acknowledging a difference or exposing a “weakness”.
