Leadership & Character | Indianapolis, IN
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Indianapolis, IN on March 15, 2019 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- Words we used to describe character were: sacrifice, vulnerability, humility, integrity, others before self.
- We were reminded that “Character is how you act even when no one is looking.”
- We discussed instances where social media can produce narcissism and the “feel good, before be good” motto; that dopamine is real and affects adults just as well as teens, and kids. We all agreed on this serious character issue facing our society and agreed that something needs to be done.
