Strength | Winston-Salem, NC
A group of Wake Forest Women gathered over dessert in Farrell Hall on the Reynolda Campus as part of Wake Women’s Weekend on March 1, 2019 to discuss Strength.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- Overall we focused how family and our support networks help us to be strong. We also all gravitated towards the conclusion that through our moments of leaving our comfort zone, we learned “we can do this” which has helped us for the next time around.
- Two of my favorite quotes of the evening were
- “other women are the best support”
- “you can’t put a price on women’s friendship”
- Another highlight was the realization that we’re not alone and that we all could relate in some way to each other’s stories of strength.
- We also worked through the idea of the power of vulnerability and how we build walls but realize that breaking these walls down make a difference.
