Wellbeing | Los Altos Hills, CA
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Los Altos Hills, CA on March 14, 2019 to discuss Wellbeing.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- Many examples were shared on who we see in our lives as exemplifying wellbeing, that presence of purpose, joyful relationships, and healthy habits. Most everyone touched on a family member setting that tone and example for us to follow.
- We discussed what it means to be “well” – this can be a mindset or value, as opposed to a nutritional habit or regimen. It’s critical to have a sense of mindfulness, an idea we discussed at length, to access our wellbeing after slowing down and resetting.
- Wellbeing is when we have a purpose and requires a balance to get us through the dips. Many shared that our purpose of wellbeing can be giving most of our selves to others.
- One concept that was repeated as a constant “theme” for the night is that we all need: something to look forward to, something to do, and something to love.
