Leadership & Character | Chicago, IL
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Chicago, IL on April 16, 2019 to discuss Leadership and Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- Our conversation determined that while we shared moments when actions were taken that did not benefit the actor directly, overall, character is found in consistent everyday actions that show selflessness or a valuing of others over sacrifices made.
- Examples of character ranged from close personal relationships to one time encounters, but in each sharing it was evident that the observer respected the person who showed character and in some cases saw them as a mentor or role model of sorts.
- Beyond our engaging discussion on the topic of character in action, it appeared that our group was surprised by how much each sincerely appreciated the entire evening of interactions.
