Wellbeing I Winston-Salem, NC
A group of Undergraduate Students from Kappa Alpha Theta gathered over dinner in North Campus Apartments on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, to discuss Wellbeing.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- We first discussed how we individually try to increase our own well-being and concluded by reflecting on ways we could improve our well-being and have more intentional conversations. Some repeating topics were the struggles we face in maintaining our mental health on Wake Forest’s campus as women, students, and friends.
- We should not make our activity to increase wellbeing become another task on our checklist was repeated throughout the conversation.
- We need to find a way to set boundaries for ourselves and be able to say no.
- We addressed the idea that there is a lot of pressure to be perfect and that we cannot admit that we are 100% okay.
- Our moderator helped us realize that most of our struggles with well-being could stem from making too many comparisons to other people.
