Leadership & Character | Oxford, MS

A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Oxford, MS on June 21, 2019 to discuss Leadership & Character.

Highlights of our Call to Conversation:

• A topic discussed was our changing society which tends not to value those who value rules and follow them.
• Discussion ensued around WFU Head Football Coach Clawson’s priorities in order for student athletes – Faith, Family, Academics, then Football. We discussed fixed vs. growth mind per research by Carol Dweck, and our belief character can be taught and opportunity for success increases.
• Finally, the group concluded there is reason to believe that WFU can build a trajectory of hope among its students, faculty, staff and alumni.
