Leading a Life that Matters | Annandale, VA

A group of Wake Foresters gathered over brunch in Annandale, VA on May 9, 2019 to discuss Leading a Life that Matters.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- We discussed several participant’s willingness to do things in college and early in life that you may not have the opportunity to do later.
 - Be open to new experiences and ideas in order to get the most out of life.
 - It is okay if things don’t go as planned – do something, make a mistake, learn from it.
 - There is power in self-discipline.
 - Let go of fear, take risks, take chances – fear holds us back, it is okay to fail, when you fail, you learn the most.
 - Trust your inner voice.
 - Be authentic and true to yourself, be vulnerable and open.
 - How can we guide our children without projecting our own “stuff” onto them.
