A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Winston-Salem, NC on July 17, 2019 to discuss Pro Humanitate.

Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:

  • During our conversation, we heard stories of people in our lives who live out our motto of Pro Humanitate and the work they do to improve our world. We shared stories of people who set examples of service in the communities where they have lived, people who give their time to help others (even while balancing a full school schedule), and how this type of work can strengthen a community.
  • One observation we spoke about was our culture’s tendency to instantly judge others. We talked about ways to avoid doing this and how it can be beneficial to slow down judgement.
  • We agreed that “Human Flourishing” is the goal and the key to success in the future.
