Leadership & Character | Naples, FL
A group of Wake Foresters gathered over dinner in Naples, FL on January 28, 2019 to discuss Leadership & Character.
Overview and highlights of our Call to Conversation:
- You cannot force someone to have good character. It is the people around us who set the example. These are the leaders who set the examples by letting others take initiative and make their own decisions about how to live their lives and treat others.
- Often character is shown in our day to day activities – having patience with one another and showing just a little bit of kindness. It is all about a sense of kindness. Character begs the question: would you do it if no one else were looking?
- Character and respect are not given but earned every day. Earning it every day is a key component to it being perpetuated. If you pay attention to your character, your reputation will take care of itself. You own your own value system by testing it and owning it every day.
